The Challenge, the tasks
The goal is to make your house quiet, clean, and "homey" environment. Take charge, solve problems, and help the sytem evolve and improve so peope are happier and happier, most importantly, you.
- send out garbage pick up warnings,register address ad calgary.ca or https://www.calgary.ca/waste/residential/garbage-schedule.html
- advertise and help coordinate room showings
- copy supply whiteboard messages and whatsapp to supply person mid week so they have time to purchase things
- let us know of furniture improvements
- make sure house temperature not set more than 20
- make sure hair catchers stay in drains
- teach roomies how to use a plunger
- give helpful cleaning tips to roomies who are struggling
- maintain message board should you want one in house
- message roomies if heat is too high, wrong things in recycling
- take care of fruit fly problems
- maintain vacuum cleaners (empty them out or train roomies to do it)
- be environmental watch, keep on eye on roomies who leave lights on/ turn thermostat to 25, have endless showers as this is both bad for environment and increases costs for everyone
- maintain batteries in smoke detectors
- make sure fire extinguisher close to kitchen area
- keep an eye on supplies whiteboard and supplies and remind roomie on supplies of what to buy
- possibly blog once a month, "state of the union"
- message roomies who are no following house rules
- make suggestions for changes to rules for your house
- if someone is away on holidays, contact admin (snsgrinco.com) and let them know who is away and let them know who they are recommending to cover for their chore
- advertise empty room and show along with other roomies
- take over utilities for each house
